The same buzzer.
The same music.
The same scores.
Everything is the same. Nothing changes.
Eastlake North is now 4-11 as they fall to the Madison Blue Streaks 50-27 on their home court. The game stayed pretty closely scored until the second half, when the Rangers started to fall behind. But Madison just came out to play that night, especially with being 2nd place in the WRC fighting for the 1st place spot. Maybe this isn’t as much of a lost season as it is a rebuilding year. Maybe North is trying out a new playing style and that’s why they can’t seem to pull it out, I don’t know. All I know is the fans and players hearts’ are breaking each time the Rangers’ fall again and again.
Everything is the same. Travis Picquet is always the lead scorer for the Rangers. North always does well in the first half and falls drastically in the second. You always walk into the gymnasium saying to the person next to you,” I wonder if we finally got some good referees.”. Everything is the same and nothing changes.
It shouldn’t be as depressing as it is. And most of the time the depressing part isn’t even that North loses, it’s the way that lose. Whether it was because of a bad call or the boys just didn’t come out to play, it’s heartbreaking. None of them deserve what other schools and officials hand to them, and it’s a bit ridiculous that North gets the back end of it all. Almost 20 fouls were called in the first half alone in the North vs. Madison game. Wouldn’t you say that’s a bit much? Let the boys play a little bit, it’s basketball. Too many fouls make the game unfair and not fun to watch or play. It stops the momentum of the game. I’ve said this before as well, haven’t I?
