7-0.
After struggling to Penn State in the fisrt half, the Buckeye’s came back to win the game 38-10. Cardale Jones was the starting quarterback, with J.T Barrett as backup. Barrett also finished the game out for the Buckeyes. The defense played a fantastic game for Ohio State as well, giving up little to no 3rd and 4th down conversions.
“Whatever it takes to win.” Head coach Urban Meyer says when asked about the quarterback situation.
To many fans disappointment, Jones isn’t playing quarterback with the kind of intensity he was in the first ever college football playoffs last year. The past few games, especially with the harder teams coming in to play, he has lost many possessions due to fumbles and interceptions and just sloppy football. It’s a real dilemma for Ohio State, making the decision of J.T Barrett or Cardale Jones.
“I’m trying to help the teams, whether I go in the redzone or as the starter, at the end of the day I don’t really think it matters. I’m going in there to do the best I can.” Said Barrett.
The undefeated Buckeyes go on to play the Rutgers next week, and hopefully there will finally be some intensity added to play.
