Chocopocalypse
By: Sean Britton
Reports have shown that chocolate lovers will want 1 million
more metric tons of chocolate than the makers can churn out by 2020. People are
eating and wasting more chocolate than we can actually produce. We are now
using up the chocolate reserves. Soon that will be empty at the rate we are
consuming. I understand that chocolate has a high demand with all the people
who like chocolate and all… but to eat this much chocolate.
As I was looking up more information for this article I found some disturbing evidence of people using chocolate for entertainment and decoration. Such as:
· Cars made of chocolate
· Statues of the pope
· CHOCOLATE TRAINS…REALLY?!?!
Personally I think this is sickening, how people are wasting chocolate for almost no reason whatsoever. No wonder why there is starting to be a shortage on chocolate. That picture of the pope and the chocolate replica was 1.5 tons of chocolate! The chocolate train weighed up to 2,755 pounds.
