Leo will never let go of his Oscar
It is official Leonardo DiCaprio has won his first Oscar after 22 years of nominations. The Oscar was won for the film the Revenant. The fact that this is his first award is a surprise to many because of his successful career.
Leo began his career in the early 1990’s appearing in commercials like Bubble Yum Gum and Kraft free single cheese. He also appeared in shows like Roseanne and the New Lassie.
Leo has grown as an actor appearing in many award winning films. Many people have opinions on films of his that should have won an Oscar. I have a few movies chooses of my own:
“What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” - I choose this because he took on the difficult role of becoming a mentally challenged boy and preformed it amazingly well
“The Wolf of Wall Street” - I choose this because although it is not as deep and dramatic as the other film but the film had an interesting story which was greatly acted out.
This win is very popular in the social media and internet world with references to Leo being tweeted four hundred forty thousand times per minute. Fans took to sites like Twitter to express their excitement in the only way they know how: with jokes and Gifs. Other supporting actors showed their love for his win during the award show.
Leo had an amazing acceptance speech had a unique message but was beautifully done. Leonardo DiCaprio definitely deserved this award for his exceptional performance in “The Revenant.”
