Born Anne Frances Robbins(Nancy was just a nickname given to her from her childhood,) Anne was six she was living with her aunt and uncle until her mother Edith got remarried to a man named Dr. Loyal Davis. Then they moved to Chicago for the rest of her childhood.
As soon as Nancy graduated she became a professional actor. Not even a year after graduating she landed a show on Broadway. In total Nancy Reagan starred in about 21 movies.
Nancy met Ronald Reagan in 1951, while he was president of Screen Actors Guild. They got married a year later in a little brown church in Los Angeles.
Nancy helped Ronald run for president, becoming the first lady she served two terms in office with Ronald. In the years following Ronald’s presidency he developed Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2004. Ever since he passed away Nancy made an enormous effort to find a cure/cause to Alzheimer’s. When she passed away someone found pages upon pages of research to help. She was never able to finish.
Nancy Reagan has made unbelievable changes to this world we live in, such as the “Just Say No.” campaign, an appearance in a movie to raise money for the prevention of polio, supported cell stem research, and renovated the White House.
Nancy never stopped helping/making things better. That’s why she will never be forgotten.
