New Cafeteria and Lockers
By: Madeline Patrick
Over the summer North High School underwent big changes. Two of those changes were new lockers and new tables in the cafeteria. I asked a few students what they thought.
There was mixed emotion about the changes. Many of the students I interviewed believed the renovations
were unnecessary such as Megan Bostick, a freshman, who said, “The school should have used the money
for something more important like air conditioning instead of new lockers. I like the setup of the cafeteria
but not the chairs.”
Others looked at them more positively like Jessica Ott, a sophomore. She said, “I like the new tables and how there is a built in lock in the lockers.”
Kacie Sparks thought that the renovations were inconvenient and didn't change the school for the better. She said, “The lockers are smaller and there are not enough tables in the cafeteria.”
Nick Crevda, a sophomore, thought the changes were both good and bad. He said, “I hate the tables. The lockers are nice I guess. But I'd rather have air conditioning.”
Cameron Barnes, a sophomore had similar thoughts, “I like the lockers but I hate the cafeteria. It is stupid because there are eight chairs and if you have nine friends then someone is left out. And there are no backs on the chairs so you can’t lean back."
Josh Boughton, a junior thought, "The tables are alright but the chairs are uncomfortable.”
Overall air conditioning would have been more appreciated. Let's hope we get that next summer.
