On October 16, Eastlake North fell to the Brush Arcs 21-14 in game 7. It was a grudging loss, especially with the hopes of the playoffs returning to North High School.
It’s barely a possibility now.
Maybe it was the cold that got to the Rangers. Who knows, but regardless, they didn’t play to their full abilities. Actually, very they even looked sluggish and unprepared. Although, Brush had a 0-7 winless record, it is a responsibility as a football player to give your all every game. North didn’t do that.
“No one really came prepared to play, they took it lightly.” Senior nose tackle Dillon Rohm says, who had the only outstanding performance of the night.
If North really truly does want the playoffs, they’ll have to get through Mayfield and Madison first, both 7-1. It will definitely, most definitely be a fight. Can the Rangers do it? Can they finally step up and grab the playoffs by a hair.
Guess we’ll find out October 23 against the Mayfield Wildcats.
