Boy, these articles are really getting hard for me to write.
Again, the Eastlake North Rangers fell to the Brush Arcs 51-68 on February 19th. Travis Picquet led North with 17 points, followed closely by senior shooting guard Brandon Robinson with 15 points. Sadly, the senior’s efforts were not enough for a rally to win the much needed game. Having played, and gone into overtime, with Brush before North had some of an upper-hand, knowing the playing style of the Arcs. But whether it was Brush changed what they did that night or North just wasn’t good enough to hang on, they couldn’t pull it out. What a frustration.
Loss after loss gets really redundant and bland, especially when you have to write about it. Everything about this season is so repetitive, and it’s really sad that nothing is changing. Even now at the end of the season, my articles are starting to get boring because I have nothing else to write about. I’m sorry, I don’t know what else to say.
Why can’t North seem to win? They can sometimes hit threes, once in awhile have a jump shot and their defense isn’t that bad, so what really is the problem? In my opinion, one of the biggest problems for North would be determining whether or not they want to play smothering defense and do little on offense or be a monster on offense and slack on defense. It’s hard for a team to play both great offense and smothering defense, I get it, the floor is long. You can play both sides, but for a team like this year’s team it might not be feasible to do so. They could also use more picks for the offense, especially when they have such a talent by Travis Picquet to drive the lane. Most of the players just need help getting to the bucket and there it is. But I don’t even know what is going on, I’m just throwing ideas out there.
