Have you heard of the world language club? If you haven’t, listen up. If you are in German, Spanish, or French then you can join. Madame Forsell-Fill, one of North’s French teachers, is in charge of the club and you can see her in room 171.
Once or twice a month there is a meeting where you eat cultural foods and make crafts. You will celebrate Mardi Gras with fun decorations and will celebrate Cinco de Mayo by eating tacos. All you need to do to join is show up and donate a couple dollars to the club so that food, drinks, and crafts can be provided.
One of the many cool things that the World Language Club has been up to was their thanksgiving meeting that was on Wednesday, November 26. Most countries do not celebrate this holiday; however, students paired up and picked a country which they learned a couple cool facts about. They also brought in a dish from that country (or just a treat if that was too hard). Then they got to share the facts and enjoy the food that everyone brought in.
At every meeting the next one is decided. If you would like to know when the next meeting is, pop your head into room 171 and take a look at the calendar by the door. A Christmas meeting should be coming up soon, so pay attention to the announcements or ask Madame Forsell-Fill in the first room of the foreign language hallway.
